What is the price range that you are looking to spend? I have the BAK flip G2 cover. Got it from www.autoanything.com. I think i paid total $650 to $690 shipped, cant remember exactly. Great tonneau, I researched all other covers and found I liked this one the best. I was not disappointed it's a great cover.

I have the Trifolding backflip. Love it, easy to install, easy to remove. Fine driving on the highway, the air doesn't get under it, it's clamped in tight. I've heard of a few snap ons that the air gets under it and lifts it off.

In the summer the cover softens from the sun, and you'd simply reverse the snaps on the rails to "warm", allowing the cover to be tighter.

I'd guess that not all manufacturers provide this with their snap style covers, or you don't realize that your Extang cover does this, or your too lazy to reverse the snaps!

Also, it's extreemly important to treat the cover periodically, using a non alchohol based vinyl treatment. This keeps the vinyl plyable, allowing it to stretch a bit.
I flipped my snaps already. I also have the bows on the lowest setting.

I cleaned it a few times with Armor All because thats what I had at home.

I just got the cover a month or two ago and had it on and off a few times so far.

I like the Lund roll-up just fine. The color hasn't faded still fits, hasn't shrunk.

You're $80 price tag would indicate to me that it was "as good of a condition" as the one I bought. I bought mine used as well. Paid over a hundred bucks for it off of this forum. Seller told me it was off of his 2004; I had no reason to doubt him. When I got it, I too could not get the cover to snap on; tried the "cold" snap settings, tried letting it sit in the apartment a day or two, even removed the center bow, which worked, but I was not going to leave it that way. The cover was dry, tough, and old. I ordered a new cover. It arrived and was too big. Found out by the 4 digit part number on the backside of the cover that the cover kit I had bought was a used 1999 to 2003 Ford F150 cover. It does fit the newer F150's, but there is a slight difference in the width. After ordering the "correct" cover (Extang exchanged it), the cover fit perfect, with plenty of flexability. I suspect your cover, albeit looking to be in good shape, has shrunk somewhat from not being treated, or being treated with the wrong stuff. Armor All is no good for these vinyl covers.

Extang will tell you to never use alchohol based treatments on their covers, such as Armor All, which will actually dry up the vinyl. Worst stuff you can use on the tops. I'd also refrain from using it on the dash; too oily, and actually traps dust and dirt. Don't take my word for it, call Extang, or any vinyl cover manufacturer; they will tell you.

The Dallas Texas area has had it's share of below freezing temps, a few days of snow, yet my cover is plyable, and easily snaps on and off. No doubt New York suffers worst winters than here.

In all honesty my cover was in perfect condition. Not dried out, cracked, checked, etc. The lady I bought it from said her husband had it on his truck for 6 months and then traded in the truck.
She gave me all the paperwork that came with it and told me she would give me my money back if it didnt fit.

I just Armor All'ed it once when I put it on to shine it up. I'll have to get some better stuff for it.

I only had a little trouble with it when it was below freezing. 35*+ and it goes on fine. It was within 1/2" of snapping when it wouldnt go on all the way on the tail rail. A little heat and no problems at all.

I bought an Extang Revolution low profile Tonneau cover just after Thanksgiving. A&A was having a 30% off sale, so I saved over $100 on the cover, plus I got an additional $100 gift certificate.

The cover sits less than a 1/2" above the bed. This version has a set of integral support bars that lock into "bowtie" connectors in the rail. I've rolled it up several times in sub-freezing weather and was able to unroll it without issue.

Highly recommended...

I've got the lorado on mine and have been very happy with it. Paid $440.00 it at a truck place locally. Install took 30 minutes. It looks great and I get alot of compliments. The place I purchased from sells or can get just about anything on the market, but their trucks have these on. The manager said this is the only cover he'll sell to his friends
