If I got a trifold id want to be able to lay atleast 2 people on it and not too heavy to take off the whole thing. Does anyone have any experience with the bakbox?

Topper for me with Swingcase mounted on both side going from the tailgate to jut over the wheel wells.

Hunt and fish with my truck so I haul dead things back there and do have to climb in and clean it out at the carwash, 6'2" and 280 lbs, no issue.

Like being able to stack lots of stuff back there and locking it up, running 80 on the interstate in the rain and snow and not having to worry about losing anything. Never had an issue with blindspots.

just my $0.02.

I'm confused.

Your gonna keep that box and get a tonneau? They make them that short? That would be the first thing I would look into.

And you wanna be able to have a couple people lay on top of the tonneau? I'm not sure ANY of the covers (except maybe an expensive ARE fiberglass hard cover, and I wouldn't put ANY weight on something made of fiberglass) will support 400lbs on TOP of them..........?

There's too many variables that I'm missing here.

As for your question; I don't see how you could infer that a soft roll up is frustrating at all? It rolls up! My 6yr old can do it! lol It NEVER has get to get taken fully off. It rolls up COMPLETELY out of the way, in ONE piece.

Big Dawg.........that's cause you have a super short bed! I doubt you even have to climb in there to stack stuff, you can prolly just reach.

Like my topper and the security it provides from the weather and prying eyes. Get in and hosed it out without any problems.

Undercover Swingcase mounted to both sides of the bed for plenty of storage for tools and such.

No I'd get the bakbox they just came out with. It's their new product that goes with their flip tonneaus. And yes the bakflip tonneaus can support up to 400 pounds evenly.

My question is simple: which would look better and be more useful in the long run, bakflip tonneau cover or bed cap?

I like that a lot. Me and my friends are planning camping trips and one of my friends has a camper on his 92 f150 where he sleeps in so I thought that getting a bed cap for my truck would be helpful as well.

Let me know how laying on top of one goes after a couple years.........I can't see how any of them will stand up when they all only have 6 points of contact........?

It seems to me that you are undecided, still......between a camper top and tonneau cover. Time to roll the dice and make a decision...........

Well the Bakflip has 4 partitions to it. So 8 points. I don't mean laying heavy stuff on it but just laying on it.
