Question Which Tires?

I have a 2006 F150 Supercrew 4x4 with the 5.4L engine. The truck has 83,000 km on it and we need a new set of tires. This truck is my "minivan", my everyday Mom-vehicle and we also use it to tow our travel trailer off pavement while camping. No real 4x4-ing though. We are looking for an all-season tire that will also perform well during our long icy/snowy winters. The tires that came with the truck are the BF Goodrich Rugged Terrains in P275/65R18. I have no real complaints with these tires although it seems like the sidewalls cracked and peeled pretty early, around 40,000 km, but I was told it was normal by all those that inspected my tires. At any rate, I thought I should at least look around and ask before just going with them again. I think I have narrowed my list down to:

- BF Goodrich Rugged Trail
- Michelin LTX
- Goodyear Wrangler
- Firestone Destination
- Bridgestone Dueler

I seem to be having problems finding any sites that really compare these tires and tell me which are best and for what reasons. I would really appreciate any comments and/or suggestions. We would like to be as price conscious as possible, but we do still want good quality tires.

Thanks!
Marcie

Toyo Open Country A/T's are a great tire! Super quiet, VERY VERY smooth, great treat life. They work great in the snow. It and the Toyo Open Country H/T (highway terrain) are the only tires I run on my trucks.
