well as for the make of tire I personally like Toyo. But they can be spendy. Without a leveling kit you can fit 33x12.50 tires and with a leveling kit you can fit 35x12.50s, on stock rims.

My suggestion would be to throw on a 2.5" leveling kit and throw some 35's on there. You can get a 315/70r17 (considered a 35x12.50) on the stock wheels. The most widely used by F150 owners I have seen are the Toyo Open Country and Nitto Terra Grapplers. The BFG's also get some good reviews. I found the Nitto's and BFG's in that size online for about $240 a tire. I also found the Nitto's in a 33x11.50 online for $179. Found them at this site;

run a search on the forums. I bet a ton of things will come up, and help you choose.

Default Doesn't look right...

I posed this question elsewhere on this forum and really didn't get an overwhelming answer, but, IMO, if you try to squeeze a 305 on the stock 7.5" rim, you are going to seriously "squeeze" or pinch the tire. Whatever you decide to do, I would ask specific questions to the tech advisor about YOUR particular setup. BTW, this site is most excellent for visualizing what each and every tire will look like on ANY vehicle.http://www.rims-n-tires.com(at the bottom right of the page is a link "SIZE COMPARER")Good luck! IMO, picking out the wheel/tire combo is one of the hardest things to do.
