tires on 08 stx w/20" rims
i have an 08 stx with 17" stock rims i have a chance to purchase a set of 20" expedition rims off of an 08 eddie bauer my question is i haul a fuel tank in my truck so i put a 2" leveling kit on it the 2.5 would of brought the front end up higher than the back what would the biggest set of tires i could put on with out anymore modifications be i want to fill up the fender wells as much as possible i was thinkin about 285 65 20s or 305 55 20s any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated thanks Rick

285/65-20 is a 34.5" Tire which most people on this forum will tell you will fit the 4wd with a 2.5" level kit but not 2wd, on the other hand the 305/55-20 is a 33.2" tire which will still fit with or without level kit, I myself have 285/55-20 BFG's which is a 32.4" tire that i have on my 2wd that fit even before i had a 2.5" Level Kit. So depending on what height you are looking for and whether your truck is a 2wd or 4wd depends on what size tire you can go with.
