That's a good point. I misread and thought you said 17x9. There are guys running a x9" wheel with a 0 offset and 2.5" level without and rubbing. But I think with an 8" wide wheel you'd probably need to go with a -12? tech, correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyone have pics of their truck leveled on 275/70/18's? Thinking about dropping down to that size from 295/70/18. Thanks

So 315's might be too much then huh. Where would it most likely rub? According to the OP i could run 315's with stock wheels though right?

I wish it came with the stockers too, maybe ill look for some used ones. Otherwise I guess I'll settle for another set of 285's.

What's your reason for stepping down?

285s you'll be good. that way you don't have to completely switch out your wheels and drop another $6-1200.

The tires I'd get in that size weigh 30 pounds less per tire tire

But now I'm thinking that losing that weight prob won't help gas mileage any so screw it I might just go 35x12.5 Grabber red letters.

Assumed that was it. I don't WANT to go heavier. I am just concerned about insurance liability even though it's just a half inch.

Yeah I'm gonna stick with 295's. After checking the other tires I wanted, it seems 275/70's are all pretty much maxed at an 8.5" rim. Guess I'll have to look into a programmer.

Gryphon still the preferred name?
