My 275/70/r17 ko2's are on order. Now I have the inner conflict of having the white letters on the outside, or black letters out... Ugh...

Read through pages and pages of this and now I'm going to be that guy. Have an 05 FX4 and looking to put a rim and tire package on it. To start I'll be putting a 2.5" strut extender on the front. Want to put on XD series Addicts. 17x9 rim with 5.7 bs and +18 offset. I'd like to pair them with 35x12.5 tires. That size rim seems to be almost identical to the stock rims as far as back spacing and offset goes. From reading all these replies I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to put on .25 inch wheel spacers to clear them and do some minor trimming. Am I even in the ballpark here? Been looking for months and it seems almost impossible to find a straight answer anywhere else. Going for a look similar to this.

Do you think you could've gotten away with not using the rear block?

Anyways, did you have your rear bumper replaced or is there damage? From the looks of the top two images, it appears the passenger side flairs up on the outside wrapping around the bed, potentially rubbing, whereas the passenger side does not.

Maybe it's just the angles of the photo, but otherwise, and again, great looking 150.

Yes I could have. But I haul trailers with this truck and usually have about 300-400lb of weight in the tool box in the bed. I didnt want a completely level look I wanted to keep some rake. Plan on installing rear air bags next for leveling when pulling

Ya I actually am partial to Black but ended up with silver I havent minded it at all. I had a silver ranger once, loved how nothing shows up on them.

Rear bumper is dented on the passange side at the bottom you can kinda see it in the pictures. The corner is twisted. You can tell the prevous owner did not know how to drive a larger truck every corner has a dent or scratch. even the tailgate is all F-ed up bad. The bumper does not touch the bed at all, its close but nope. I have been on a hunt to find a decent bumper since I bought the truck over a year ago. keep finding guys that want a mint for them or have the back up holes in them. so the search goes on. Also been hunting for a decent tailgate under $500... the guy before did not know that you take it off at a 45deg angle and prayed the damn thing off the one corner is all messed up inside.

I would stay away from locking lug nuts, but that might just be me. Not much use for them up here, and if you lose the key, you're kind of s.o.l. It's not really worth the hassle in my opinion.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents worth to this thread. I used the info on the first sticky and in posts to help make my tire purchase. I ended up with Mich LT275/70/R18 AT/2's. While I like the look of the very aggressive tread tires they don't fit the driving I do so I think these are good middle ground. Anyway, so far the ride seems similar to the factory Wrangler tires I replaced and got 57,000 miles out of! Here's a couple shots. Thanks everyone, for a great tire tread!

Sorry if this has already been answered, bear with me as I'm new here.

I have a 2008 XLT, I can't seem to find any information about the stock wheels that are on the truck now. I was given a set of 2" wheel adapters and a 2" leveling kit the day I bought my truck. Now with all that said, would the truck look strange/weird/dumb if I put the 2" wheel adapters on and used the stock wheels? The wheels are wrapped with 255/70/17. I will be upgrading tires soon and will likely be going with 285/70 or 305/70.
