I would go with the new KO2... Bad *** tire if you can afford them...

Hi guys, quick question. Most of the threads here are surrounding the fitment of oversize tires and such. I have a simple clarifying question that I would like to have answered.

I have a 2004 FX4 with factory 17" wheels on it. I would like to upgrade the wheels to OEM 20" FX4 wheels. I have seen some deals on Craigslist and eBay. However, they state that the bolt pattern is 6x135 and that it would work on F150's 2005-2015. I am not quite sure why they would not state back to 2004 as I thought that 2004-2008 would be similar regardless.

Will FX4 wheels from a more recent year or 2014-15 F150 work on my truck with a 6x135 bolt pattern? Or am I missing something? Bolt pattern should be the only thing that I should worry about, correct?

Please chime in and help me if you can.

2004 was a transition year. If you have the Old style 04 it looks like the 97-03s and they had the 5 lug pattern. If your 04 looks like an 05, then the 6x135mm pattern is correct.

I have a 04 Fx4 with a 2.5" leveling kit and the stock wheels. I have 265/70R17 tires on now, but I'm thinking about bumping that up to a 35x12.50 with the same wheels. I was told I could run 35's on without a problem, but just want to make sure the wheels are wide enough, and there won't be any major issues?

So it'd be better and safer to go with a wider set of wheels too? The only problem there is that its gonna be hard to find $2k-2500 to drop on wheels and tires, which is pretty close to what I'd be paying. I wouldn't be going crazy off road, but a little every now and again is awesome.

You can find rims for $500 and tires for around $1000. Recommened rim size is 8"-9", up to 12" if you're only on pavement. But guys run them on 7" factory wheels with the only problem being excess wear on the center

285/75R17 tires are 34" Tall, will you notice a 1/2" Height difference?
