Default Tire size - stock wheels, stock hieght??

Truck needs new tires, and I can't stand the factory size (265-65-18 on there now). I'd like to go as big as I can without serious rubbing issues. Any suggestions would be awesome!

Thanks!

I had the Rough Country 2.5" Level kit installed on my '05 FX4 and have 325/65/18 (35X13) tires and love the set up. I know you said stock height, but the level kit installed cost me only $250 and there was only minor trimming... Not many stock height tire options made me happy - 33s would work if you have an FX4 tho...

Stock 4x4 can fit 33"s without a leveling it and 35"s with a leveling kit.
Stock 2wd can fit 31" without a leveling kit and 33"s with a leveling kit.
Leveling kit can cost you $80 if you do the work yourself. Its not that hard.

Assuming you have a 4x4. Yeah you can. You may have a little rubbing but nothing you can't just trim up

No problem 35x12.5 18s will probably run you about $1100 or so but it all depends on what tire you get

Any good tire websites you recommend? www.tires.com seems to be the cheapest I can find.

Discount tire is pretty good. But ill tell you somethin. Im lookin at discount tire at the same tires i have which are 295/70-18 Nitto Trail Grapplers and theyre $282 a peice which $1130 before shipping. The 35x12.5-18s which is almost $1300 before shipping. Theyre gonna be around the same price anywhere you look. I got my 295/70-18 Trail Grapplers and 18" Xd Monsters as a package for like $1800 after shipping. I know you said you wanted them on stock rims, but check this ebay store out. They got great deals. If you do get rims, id get the 295/70s, they're really close to 35x12.5s but dont rub. 35x12.5s on aftermarket rims will rub. Its up to you, just helpin you explore your options

And you get what you pay for when it comes to tires. Yeah, the Nittos are expensive, but its for a reason. They've got really good treadlife, they're fairly quite on the road, and theyre good offroad as well. And if you're lookin at Toyos, Nitto and Toyos are made by the same company. Essentially the same tire, diffrent treads.
