Default tire size and leveling help

i was wondering if anyone is running a 325/60/18? im thinking of getting a set of terra grapplers this size and wanna see whats all involved. i know im going to have to install a leveling kit which is fine, just checking to see how far they stick out because i dont wanna mess around with fender flares. also what size kit should i get 2" or 2.5". i have a 07 f150 4x4 xlt supercab with the 18" wheels. any info will be greatly appriciated. thanks

It's not the tires that you have to be concerned with in regards to them sticking out, its the width and backspacing of the wheel you choose which will result in how much the tire sticks out. So if your using stock wheels you'll be fine if you dont want them sticking out. And your best bet would be a 2.5" Leveling kit for the most clearance.

as far as which level to get...a 2.5 will sit you a lil high...unless your gonna get a front brush guard or something...then should help a lil...the 2 inch sits maybe a lil lower....if you ask me they should make a 2.25 level to be perfect....i bought a 2 inc level...just need to have it installed...

You cant really go by what F-1Fizzy is saying (no offense man) in regards to the leveling kit. All trucks are not equal and the 2.5" kit does not always sit higher in the front. I have the 2.5" AutoSpring kit and my truck sits almost perfectly level, being just a smidgen higher in the back still. Same goes for many other members of this site, and on other F-150 forums as well.

But of course, he's right about the 2" kit, that will usually always sit lower in the front. And it would be nice if they made a 2.25" kit for the people that are unsure or feel the 2.5" kit will be a bit to nose high. Honestly you should be able to tell by just looking at your truck if the 2.5" kit would be good for you or not, or just measure.

i was thinking that i should go with the 2.5 but i wasnt sure. i dont have a push bar or anything but i do have a hard plastic toneau cover but i dont see that making a big difference in the stance.

You could always just try it, worst case scenario is it sit's slighty higher in the front, but like i said all trucks all not equal and many people are just fine with the 2.5" kit. And if it does sit higher then you could always just replace the 2" block in the back with a 3" block or an AAL (add-a-leaf). All though personally i'd go with the block over the AAL if i had to just because the ride will not be affected with the block, but will get a little stiffer with the AAL.

Here is my truck with the 2.5" Autospring Leveling kit, as you can see it still sits slighty higher in the back. Good luck in whatever you decide man.

I put a 2.5 skyjacker leveling kit on mine and it sits a little higher in the front than the rear so I am going to put a 1 or 2 inch block in the rear to raise her on back up. Just letting you know that the skyjacker kit will put you nose up by about an inch.
