Tire Size with 2005 FX4 BFG-All-Terrain T/A KO
For those of you with a 2005 F150 that are running BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO 305/65R18.
I would like to know if any of the tire sticks out past the fender flair of the truck.. Because in PA the fender flares must completely cover your tires or it will fail inspection and you can get ticketed $137+ for driving a inspected vehicle that does not comply with the regulations.
I have a stock 2005 F150 FX4 with 18” wheels.
I am also adding a 2.5” front leveling kit the day the tires are mounted as well.
Thanks

I run 295/70's mud terrains on the stock wheel, which are almost as wide and have a more aggressive side-wall, and they sit flush with my fenders, and I don't even have the thin, factory flares on mine..
I'm originally from PA, and I know inspections suck. But I ran 12.5" wide mud tires on my '95 in PA with no flares and my wheels and tires stuck out a good 2-3" past my fenders and I never had any tickets (just warnings) and it never caused it to fail inspection (although a TON of other "mods" did lol) It depends on the cop's mood and who you take it to for inspections. The guy I went to could care less, as long as your truck didn't go through his garage door when you pulled in and hit the brakes, you got a sticker!

Yeah I know it depends on the cops mood and how picky the people doing the inspection are.
I was just wondering is a 305 will stick out past the stock fender.. because if they do I will have to order a smaller size tire. and I only have a few weeks to go before it needs inspected. I hate to spend $1,400 on 4 tires and have it fail inspection and need to buy 4 more tires because the first 4 can not be returned.
