Tire recommendations - '08 F150
I'm in the market for a new set of tires for my 2008 F150 XLT. I have 275 65R18 on there now.
Does anyone have any recommendations of what I should get or what I should stay away from?
I have BFGs on there now and they came with the truck. This is my first full size truck so I want to be thorough when I drop close to a grand on new tires.
Thanks,
Paul

What bfgs came with the truck? I had BFg rugged trails on mine when I bought it and they were the worst tire I've ever driven on. I stay away from bfg's just my .02

Im currently looking at Coopers new tire.
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...overer+ST+Maxx
they only make it in 33" though
reviews are good so far.
If your looking for something less aggressive.
The goodyear wrangler silent armor with kevlar are great. i have 72kmi on the ones currently on the truck with still about 20% tread. GREAT snow/ice tire, and pretty good in light mud. Not so good in clay. Quiet right up until about 60kmi.
yeah i never had good luck with BFG products. Soft compound and terrible at keeping balance.

Im afraid that 33"s wont fill out my wheel wells enough with a leveling kit =[

Nitto terra grapplers. they make almost every size and my 34's are alot more agressive then the smaller ones ive seen. My aunts got them on her suburban and they arent near as agressive. I'm pleased so far

How many miles do you have on them? I have heard mixed reviews on the lenght of the life of the tire.

There is a recall on Goodyear silent armors so be careful. Quite a few lots are being recalled and looks like more will be in the future. My bf long trails still have 5/32 on them at 41k miles but am looking at Cooper Discoverer AT3 or Nitro Crossteks. Love pirelli scorpions but they are overpriced.
