Just put a set of Michelin ltx at2 on my truck. While looking around on tirerack.Com noticed they came in standard tread and a 'different' tread. Does anyone know why they have 2 different treads for the same tire

Can't answer your question, but I just know that the Michelins will give you a much quieter ride. Did you notice that yet?

Yes I have they are smooth too I'm really glad I went this route.
