Default Tire problems

Just curious if anyone else has had any problems with good year duratracs? My dad bought a set and they don't even have 18000 miles on them and they are all 4 almost bald. He's gotten them rotated regularly and they are wearing even. I'm just curious what he can do as far as getting them to warranty them. He got them at tire warehouse in lake Orion mi and they have been giving him the run around for 2 months. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and what they did to get it resolved. Thanks in advance

No experience with that exact tire, but I know that a set of goodyears will never touch my driveway again. The wife's car had a set that lasted about 40k, and there was a set of wranglers on my truck when I bought it, that were completely shot at 25k.
This would be why they were named "Good-for-a-years".
I didn't bother looking into a warranty, because I didn't want another set of them.

Yeah I hear ya there will definitely never be another set going on any of our vehicles. The crazy thing is we heard so many good things about that tire. It's so frustrating with how he drives and keeps up the maintenance meticulously even checking air pressure a couple times a week to look at a rather expensive tire and literally see it bald after a few months.

Yep, it sucks.
Coopers for her car have been outstanding, and I have just passed the 50k mile mark on my set of Nittos. I'll definitely be putting another set on.

Were they the original tires that the truck came new with, by chance?

They were put on at the dealership at 20k miles, when I bought it.
