Tinting tails tomorrow. Any tips?

Default Tinting tails tomorrow. Any tips?

I'm going to be tinting my tails and possibly my headlight tomorrow.
Is there any tips y'all have to help the procces of this
I allready have paint thinner, clear coat, tape, and possibly sand paper
I'm gonna get nightshades tomorrow and sandpaper.
Please let me know if I will need and thing else

Remove the lights, dont paint with them on the truck. Tape off the reverse light, looks alot better that way. Take your time and do light coats. Do each one lightly so they dont smudge, I did 4 coats on mine then 2 clears to protect them. Also make sure they are clean. I used windex then just water and dried them well.

Id look up pictures whether you like the reverse lights taped off or not... I tinted the whole thing then just mounted lights under my bumper and connected to my reverse power.. Either way very easy just keep the spray atleast a foot and a half away and like what was said above light coats

To those who didn't tape over the reverse lights how how much does it affect the lights

I have heavy coats on mine and is a pain trying to back up at night with mine.

Yeah same here it's a pain too see. Especially if you have tinted windows too.

When you remove the tail lights its just those 2 screws behind the tail gate right

I say tape up your reverse light I should've done that with mine.. and post pics after!

i put 2-3 coats on mine with the reverse lights taped off, then i took the tape off and did two coats so theyd be a little dark. turned out nice
