looks pretty good man now you need some tinted headlights the only thing is at night its going to be hard to see in reverse since you painted over the reverse light but then again maybe not!!

looks good, but it looks to me like they need more clean and some color sanding, unless you want them satiny looking.

Looks good man. You used Niteshades I take it? I did mine a couple of months ago and Have left them the "satin" finish also. I first did a test on the 3rd brakelight and am glad I did. Here's some pics of mine. The first time I did the 3rd I put on 5 coats of NS and taped off the clear sections. It looked like hell when I was done so I sanded it all down and started over this time only 1 coat of NS on the whole light and 3 coats of clear. The tails are 2 coats NS and 3 coats clear.

Here's how I started the first time....The wrong way!

results 5 coats NS 2 coats clear

Back to the start

1 coat NS and 3 coats clear

Tail's start

Finish

Everything together

I wish some manufacturer would sell black clear in a can for tail light tinting. that would be a big seller IMO.

The VHT stuff isn't hard to use. Are you guys going for the satin look??? If so, I suppose that's cool...

If not, then some clear may help that dull look you're all getting. Fordfwd08, those are pretty dang dark man! How well can you see the reverse lights???

Here's mine I did about a month ago...

That's about three coats of Night Shades and two coats of gloss clear with the reverse lights taped for two coats of the night shade. No sanding, with just minimal prep. I cleaned the tails with a little acetone and windex.

I like the "flat" look. The gloss is all from the clear. I did a couple of light coats to keep them looking flat. If I wanted I could wetsand and throw on a thick coat and they would be nice and glossy. Your's came out real nice Darth Bama!
