Did you use that VHT Niteshade? How many coat did you use? Did you tape off the reverse light section of the tail light? How many clearcoats did it take?

No I could not find the VHT so my g/f went to a hobby shop and got me two cans for $5 each, small cans at that!!! Like I said about it is for r/c cars and I think 99% sure it was 3 coats. I did tape off the reverse light but now I have seen a couple of trucks with that also painted so . I have not clear coated them cause the can that I used at first had a yellow film to it so I had to re-do one. I really dont think it needs clear but I just might do it anyways

You can get them as dark as you want, until they are black.

Could one of you guys give some more details on how this is done. I'd be pretty interested in doing this cause it looks awesome. Pics would be helpful also, if avaliable.
