its fairly easy... most people sand them lightly with 1500 grit first but i just washed them then wiped them with rubbing alcohol... then i taped off the reverse light and sprayed a light coating on and let it dry and kept spraying a little more on until it was how i wanted it... then i let it dry fully and peeled the tape and put a heavy layer of clear on it as thats what gives it the most shine... in total from start to finish it took me about 2 hours including drying time... i used vht niteshade for the tint

Looks really good! Good job.

I just finished mine. I used three coats of night shade and 4 or 5 coats of clear coat.

I also did my third brake light but have to sand off the paint as I had a run in the paint.
