Seeking tips guidance: rear diff axle assembly replace 04 4x
My rear end is not healthy and have been seeking diagnosis and options for repair. The general consensus is to do the master bearing kit and ideally ring and pinion. It made more sense in my situation to get a salvage rear diff , as I've done with my last two trucks... However on the last two rear diff replacements I had experienced friends with the lead and I was the helper. So my experience with the sort is little. Been looking around for guides and tips and such and haven't really found anything . So thought I'd put it out there. Anyone have any important tips for the install of the entire rear diff/axle assembly. So far I've cleaned inside the diff as best I can. And prepping for the mount. I picked up a torque wrench in hopes of checking the pinion nut. I really want to do this the best I can and any preventative maintanence additions I can to get the most out of this thing. It's a. 3.73 gear with 9.75 axle. Running 35" m/t , a 2.5 front billstein level , spectre intake, flomaster. Ordered a 1" lowering shackle for rear. Haven't got it yet but considering doing that at same time or if maybe it's just a bad idea. Other than the obvious don't have a truck crashing down on me (which of course I'm very aware and careful about) anyone have a link for a guide or some tips from experience...?? Thank you all, in advance. Any and all appreciated -
