My thoughts exactly. I wish I knew someone that would allow me to help. Would be fun and a great learning experience. I guess your thinking about the Motor I posted. Heard great things about them?

Nothing but good things, plus you can't beat the warranty...

Dude you could have a new Coyote crate engine shipped to your door for about 6 grand. The shop is trying to get rich off of you!

Get a new melling high pressure oil pump and trash the factory one that has plastic shards all in the screen, Clean your pan out. Install new cam phasers, timing chain, guides, tensioners. Replace bad rocker arms and lash adjusters that were starved. Drive it like you stole it.

Heres my thread for what i had to purchase. Albeit my new start is grinding again.... sigh

Don't know what that is but sounds awesome. Atleast the price sounds like it would be.

Your thread will be great for me. I have all the problems you have. Crazy of close it is. I would love to do what your about to do but I will have to throw in the towel. I have too many projects going on, 3 month baby, and its my primary vehicle. Sucks because there is so much to learn. I would love to help the mechanic out if he would have me. Everything your doing is already fixed on the new motor. I will live through you. If you move to south florida, I could come by and give you a hand.

Wish I could find a mechanic here in Southern California that would swap mine for $1200, All the A holes I have talked to out here want at least $2200 to just swap it. (they are going off the ford suggested hours) of 20 hours!

Have you thought of swapping it yourself? Every man should know how to do an engine swap. It's almost stupid easy!
