Okay, and I did both last night, first the 3 bolts on the pedal then the Diamondbird, and wouldn't you know it, its flat out pouring rain......FML. I really am not expecting much of a difference as the truck runs perfect and seems to have plenty of get up and go.

Well the 3 bolts are still in the same position. Read the whole thread, it goes back years, I think some with power pedals saw an improvement.

So after adjusting the pedal up toward the seat as far as I could anddoing the Diamondbird, I have to say there was zero improvement, nada, nuttin, zilch. Like I said though, my truck seemed to move really well anyway. Oh well, nothing gained, nothing lossed.

Mine used to be terribly slow. I would push the pedal and have to wait to go. Not anymore though.
Sounds lkke you didn't have a problem to begin with

I joined this site on 09.12.2012 and have done a lot of reading since.
Yesterday i stumbled upon this thread and couldn't believe i didn't see it before or hear it mentioned in any other threads. Can this be added maybe not as a sticky but to one of the other stickys?

I did the key/pedal trick and it definitely worked. If you mash the pedal half way or all the way it does jump more than it did. I will soon be changing the plugs and might also do the throttle body and sensors while there...

Thank you Diamondbird!

Did this on my 08 xlt before I left work this morning and I can't hardly believe it worked. Much better throttle response and top end grunt.

Soooo, I re-did the pedal trick again, but pushing the pedal down a little faster. Last time I took about 10 seconds to push the pedal to the floor, this time it was more like 4 seconds and there was actual improvement.

Ah the memories of my ninja crotch rocket many yrs ago. With me it was the scare of oncoming traffic putting makeup on or whatever their distraction was but got kinda tired of feeling their sideview mirrors clipping my elbows plus my buddy doing a triple flip over a vw that pulled out on us. Another reason why the no headgear laws are outrageous. theres no fixing a brain injury. Hope your doing better but yea, I kinda miss it too
