throttle questions??

throttle questions??
My 04/05 5.4l is starting to accelerate funny.. when I press the accelerater from a stop sometimes it will jump off real fast and sometimes it will just ease off. I'm not sure what it could be I lack mechanical skills. Help if this makes any sense.

There's an adjustment you can try to see if the "drive by wire" setup needs recalibration. It involves turning the key to the on position (engine not running) and slowly pressing the gas pedal down to the floor and slowly releasing.
Do a search to find this proceedure. It was posted here awhile back. Some folks have had great results in removing the "delay" in their pedal.
This may or may not fix your slow accelleration condition. In the future, you would be better off in providing more details, such as how many miles are on the odometer, maintenance schedule (when the spark plugs were last changed, air filter, etc.).
You may just need a good tuneup, or throttle body cleaning.
