I'll assume you don't know of the search tool, or haven't used it.

Here's an example of a search result:

https://www.f150forum.com/showthread...le+body+spacer

I searched this forum on "throttle body spacer", and came up with several posts; the one above was just the first in a list of many.

Your friend will most likely not be happy with the opinions, but you will be a hundred bucks in the good if you go with the recommendations of not buying one.

^^ Agreed. Almost want to buy one of those and pair it with one of those magical little Tornado things you slide into the intake tube just to prove a point that they don't work but back it up with actual numbers. Then I realized that I would have just pissed away $150.

I have a throttle body spacer on my truck like the prior posts say it's not much of an improvement in mpg or hp I didn't notice any improvement with mine, I kinda regret getting it but too late now you also get a whistling sound kinda like a diesel but not as loud right around 1900 rpms it's pretty feint so not really noticeable to me

Got one sitting in the toolbox right now, works great...holding down papers while the wind is blowing! Seriously, I thought it was cool looking when you popped the hood. The biggest problem I had with it was the noise. It drove me crazy riding down the interstate. It actually whistled and I mean whistled LOUD. As far as fuel mileage goes, not sure. I promptly removed it about 3 days later and haven't attempted to re-install it again.

Your better off saving your money and looking for upgrades that actually work, like HIGH PERFORMANCE LIGHTWEIGHT BLINKER FLUID...

^^ or a titanuim Johnson rod with the optional high tensile strength knibling pin. Also those synthetic low speed muffler bearings should help with noise.
