Default Throttle Body

Does anyone have any knowledge of whether or not it would be beneficial to get an aftermarket MAF and Throttle Body after getting a new exhaust? Any Ideas who makes a performance throttle body for the 4.6L?

I am new to the f-150 scene but not to mustangs. The 4.6 throttle body on the mustang needs to be replaced if your making like 800hp. Which cant be done without a bunch of motor work. No It wouldnt be very beneficial.

it depends on what you are going to do with your truck. if you plan on installing a supercharger then i would consider getting the therotle body and MAF. i would also get a tuner and the diablosport MAF.i.a

the MAF.i.a does nothing more than lie to the EEC, the only way to properly change transfer functions is through the EEC...and the SCT BA2400 is by far more advanced than the mafia could ever hope to be.

I have a 4.6L with a cold ari intake, and I'm planning on upgrading my maf. Jus mainly bc I want more flow. As far as the throttle body, I believe BBK makes one for the 4.6L. I'd like to get one, but I:ve been told, (and no, I cant confirm, wish I knew though), that the Larger Throttle body worsens your gas mileage. It a duh thing, its a given, up I dont know how much mileage will be lost.

Yes BBK makes one. I plan on getting it just because I can. It might add 4 hp. I plan on headers and possibly cams and head work
I think the larger TB will make a bit more of a diffrence then. If I can't make my 300 to the ground goal with that I will turbo the truck.

the part number you have stated only work for up to 2004 cobras and lightnings. the diablosport maf.i.a. help to tell your MAF sensor not peg out on volts, read about it on their site. its a great tool.

Only SCT software will ever be used on any ford I own. proper EEC calibration is the only way to tune.
