Custom box for my Type R 12, mounting depth of 6.875. And my two cents is don't buy pre made. You can make a box properly out of 3/4 MDF for much cheaper and exactly to spec for your sub.

Not necessarily true.. My fox box is built fairly well.. I matched the subs to the box and I'm well within the specs.. A custom box cost custom dollas... I've had a few..

honestly i don't know any measurements, but i have a box specifically made for an 04 supercab 150 that i bought new at a local pawn shop, with 2 kicker shallow mount cvt 10's, and they fit great. Cut out a little leg room, but no biggie cause i barely ever have anyone ride back there

i have 2 10in kicker cvt. Made the box myself. But instead of using 3/4 wood i went to half in. so i could get a little bit more air space inside. I have pictures of the box being made and the completed project. If you want pics let me know.

I also did it this way. If you have the slightest bit of skill in wood working its not that hard to do. Just use 3/4 MDF with glue and screws and you will have the highest quality most solid box you can get for less $$$$

A 4x8 sheet of 3/4 MDF is 40.00. Glue is 5.00. Tools are a table saw and jigsaw, a drill and 5.00 of screws. Please don't try to tell me anyone gets a quality box for less. Custom made boxes (as in made by yourself) designed for your sub specifically will always sound better than store bought PERIOD. There are no exceptions to this. No one in SQ or even SPL or just a regular audiophile would ever buy a box unless they were incapable of doing it themselves which is fine...but please don't try to say store bought are better. They aren't.

Within specs was mentioned...sub woofers are tuned to specific frequencies and require specific parameters. They are exact specs not ranges.

To the OP, either check the manual for your sub or call the company and they will give you all the tech specs your box should meet. Pm me if you need a hand with the design. Have a few programs I have made that help greatly.

I paid $24 for a 4x8 3/4 Mdf last Saturday at lowes now if only I was smart at math to build my own. Lol
