I think it needs to cool...so if you coat it ...it may not cool properly.

What about coating it with some type of sealer, only when the module is

There you go...I used the module off of an Expedition; same module electronics, but it has built in spacers to keep it off of the cross frame bar. I also applied some anti rust coating in the metal backside. No issues after two years of it's service so far.

If your Ford dealer is out of the F150 fuel pump module, as for the Expedition one; it's the same with built in spacers, and the same price. Not many (including the parts guy) know it's the same module as the F150 one, so it's usually in stock when the F150 one is not.

By the spare tire. Drop the spare tire, then look at the rail that connects the left/right frame rails, in front of the spare tire area. You'll see it mounted on this rail. Easy to spot.

How do you know it is bad, besides by coding it? My 2004 f150 FX4 is just randomly dying now when i stop or am in traffic. When i am on the gas everything is usually fine.. Would it be the module, or could it be possibly the fuel filter or pump? oh ya I have about 78000miles on it
