No, no shudder. Its more like it cuts out for a split second and then goes again. It never does it from a stand still either. From a stop I can cleanly accelerate smoothly right past 2000 rpm with no hiccup. Might want to check your fan blade and codes

Yep, they go when you stomp on it but mid throttle just seems lacking to me compared to my 99

Its kind of weird that it only does it while moving (hiccup) never does it from a stand still through and pass the 2000 mark. Truck does crank and always starts when warm. Just not a "normal" crank when warm. Starts fine after the initial weird crank if I start it immediately. I swear I have a fuel issue but who knows. Maybe you guys can convince me to get a tuner down the road ..... After I get my AR 15 First. ha ha

I had an 85 mustang, last yr for the carb engine and man did that thing go. Took it to a customers house one day, parked in the section of driveway that I was parking my truck in for a week , a section where you would back up to turn around and she backed up like a maniac and nearly totaled it. Had to have it towed. The husband said we'll pay cash for the fix until I showed him the bill. He was'nt happy and said this is'nt the first time she did this ha ha. I bet you it was the last. Sold it as is and got a few grand for it. I rarely see that model anymore. they were known for rust

Default Same problem

I have an 04 fx4 and i have the same warm start problem after letting in sit for about an hour. Cranks a little longer sometimes a weak start but runs fine, first start in the morning is usually good. Havent gotten around to diagnosing and fixing it yet since its not a major issue and ive been busy.

Let me know if you find anything. Don't know if our situations are exactly the same but it just annoys me. Its definately not "normal"

My '05 XLT 5.4 does the same thing sometimes, but I've never seen any sort of pattern as to when it happens. It had a fuel injector treatment and all 8 plugs replaced (separate issue), but runs fine otherwise, no RPM hangs or weird pops. Might just be a quirk of the early 5.4, much like the cam phase tick

It does it every day for me on cue. Mostly the weird weak type short crank after sitting from 15 min to sometimes several hours but starts fine after that and perfect every morning. I have refurbed injectors, new plugs and a host of other new parts. It cannot be normal mostly because it starts fine after the initial problem. I just hate not knowing what it is and may never
