Default Is there a way to tell if a Used Truck been Tuned?

Hello all,

So I just purchased a 2005 5.4L which has an intake and exhaust already on it. Didn't have any issue with it until I started reading all the posts about the possibility of damaging the 3V motors.

I'm hoping if the previous owner (I bought it from a dealer) did the the intake and exhaust, that he sprung for a tuner as well. Is there anyway to verify this? I attached a picture of a wire hanging that I though may have something to do with tuning, but I haven't spent the time to see where the other end of the wire goes.

Thanks,

A tuner would have plugged into the trucks OBD port and wouldnt leave a wire behind.

It's more than likely not tuned in the state that you currently own it. The previous owner my have sprung for a tuner but unless he turned the truck back to stock he would have $300 in a tuner he can't use on anything else because it is locked to the VIN on your truck. So in short no it is probably not tuned right now.
