Oops, I misread about retaining Sat.

Ford added the dash aux in in 07 or 08. It may be cheaper to buy an 07-08 head unit and the new dash tray.

There are a few radios out there for $50. Although I don't know if they are the correct ones. Do the newer radios have a separate button for the Satellite or do you just have to scan through with the Aux button?

You have to go through the Aux button. LINE IN, SAT 1, SAT 2, SAT 3

I had the same problem - didn't want an FM tuner (I hate the static). When I asked the guys at radio shack, they told me that on most Fords (at least the ones with the AUX button) you have to pull the original stereo body to access the AUX output port. Then, you can run a cable from behind the stereo to where it will be accessible. After that you'll be able to plug in your mp3 or SAT radio device into the AUX plug and charge it from your lighter/12V port on the dash.

If the Sirius is a direct FM connection, there is no static.

There is, look at the sonicelectronix link in my post above. Or switch with the newer head unit.

does anyone have '07 or '08 HU that would work? but my antenna is the big plug, not the radio with the white tube in the antenna input in the radio.
