Is there a trick to getting Problem Codes
I do not have a computer that i can plug in so i was wondering if Ford's / F-150 had a trick to getting the code without a computer.
Like the dodge neon would blink the check engine light a number of times if you turned the key on/of in a certain sequence.

A simple powertrain code reader/reset can be purchased for 50 to 60 bucks these days.
Not sure if you can short pins on the OBD II plug anymore to get the check engine dash light to flash the codes like you used to with the older systems.
Also, most parts stores will read codes for you for free these days.

Thanks Much Bocco.
Heading to AutoZone here shortly to see if they can get a Code for the Low-Rev Warm Engine Stall that has been going on for quite some time now but since i have a couple other vehicles and motorcycles I have been putting off getting it repaired.

There's also the option of running a Bluetooth or wifi OBDII port device in conjunction with a smart phone app like Torque or Dash Command.
Of course, you'll have to order the OBDII port device, so that won't happen as fast as going to Autozone.

I got a basic plug in scanner for around $15 online several years ago. It is just a code reader/clear codes, still need to look up what the codes mean, and it does not do any diagnostic tests.
Or as said, auto parts stores will read and clear the code for free.
I agree the Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep trick was nice to get the codes without a reader.
