Is there a difference in leveling kits?

Just wondering because I am going to get one soon. 2" is the correct amount for a 2WD 04 F150 correct?

2" is good if your not gonna put a brush guard or something with weight on the front, then a 2.5 is recommended. i just received my 2" kit for my 4x4, just to cold to put on yet.
