tensioner and idler pulley r&r

Is it a big job or anything tricky to putting on a new idler and tensioner pulleys on a 04 5.4L

I don't know if it is hard or not, but my understanding from what these folks say, it really isn't worth it. Good luck!

I don't understand, if the bearings in the centre of the idler pulley are no good, it has to be done

he thinks your talking about underdrive pulleys.

its not a hard job at all

MAke sure you have the right tool to take belt off and the rest is easy.

the tensioner is an auto tensioner, a 1/2in breaker bar will do. The idler pulley(much like john kruk) has one nut, the tensioner pulley necessitates the removal of the tensioner.
