Some sad and happy news: Happy News- With my tax check I bought an engagement ring. Sad news- Would have been nice to put that into my truck.

I really want to lift the truck, re-gear it, and grab some offroad rims/tires. It'll take me forever to save for those, unfortunately. Oh well we'll see what I can do maybe I'll hit big at the casino in my hotel.

well DiCe if your single I've heard you can have a REALLY REALLY Good time in D.R. but if your married go for the CAI and the Tuner

I'm just saying. Don't mean to highjack. Will say no more.

I'm actually going to the D.R. with my girlfriend for our 2 year anniversary. I would've been able to spend over 2k on the truck if not for the trip, but I need a vacation I haven't been on one in years and I heard it's really nice in D.R. So $1200 is what I got for the truck until a little later this year after paying some bills off.

i say:

Tuner ~375.00 (EDGE unit from www.autoanything.com)
E-Fans ~250-400 (depending just how you do it)
Front window tint ~30.00 (do it yourself)
HID Headlight kit ~150.00 (www.xenongate.com)
Putco LED interior lights ~100.00
Weathertech floor mats ~170.00 (www.weathertech.com) (assuming you have SCREW)

That puts you just over a grand..... leaves room for fudge based on exact parts/vendors.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm going to check out all those items right now actually. I have been thinking a lot lately about getting some nice blue hid's for my headlights and fogs. I think they're 10,000k and I'm definitely getting the windows tinted. Anybody know the factory percentage of the tinted glass on supercabs ( the back glass and small rear seat windows ) I want to match it up nicely I don't want the back looking very dark and the front lighter. Any help would be appreciated.

well, based on your last reply, i see that you have an extended cab, which means your floor mates would be cheaper....im not sure what is available for the rear in am ext cab..... but the front set is the same, and runs about 75-90.00.

for your HID, this is purely my opinion, but i would highly suggest not getting 10k. i have the 6k and love them. the 10k would have way too much blue in my opinion. the 6k and 8k seem to be the most popular.

for your window tint, it seems that several people on other forums have tried different shades, and say that they all match...... so, i think the bottom line is that anything helps !!! im running 20 % on my fronts and i love them. not too dark to attract cops, but definately helps the appearance.

good luck !!!

I originally wanted to go with the 10k because I figured that they would match my truck the best with the truck and the lights both being blue, but maybe 8k would be nice with a little hint of blue in the HID. As for the tint I'm going to take it to a tinting guy I know around here and see what he has to say for matching the backs with the fronts so it looks nice. Last time I tinted my other cars windows I believe 20% was illegal here, but I'll find out again.
