Taillight plug wire coding (what do the 3 wires mean)
Okay I havent been able to get a picture yet of the pigtail with the 3 wires and color of them. But my truck is a 07 F150 and I have looked all over online and cant find anything that says which color wire is for what. What color is ground, what color is for running/blinker and what color is for stop lights? I know I can use a voltmeter but thought maybe somebody knows of the top of their head. I have a "secret mod" coming for Christmas from the wife and would like to start planning the install. Thanks in advance.

I know the reverse light wiring runs along the inside of the drivers side door sill, as I tapped into it (black/pink) when I did my rear camera install and used this wire as the "trigger" to turn on the display screen. I'll guess the parking light wire does the same for the left side at least. My wiring book is at home, so I cannot check for the connector location until tonight if no one else can say earlier.
The "high mounted Stop Lamp" (as called in the factory wiring) uses a light green wire for power, and black for ground. So you can look for, and probe with a test light or multimeter for this wire. The schematic shows this green wire lead running up and around the brake pedal position switch (under dash on the pedal arm), so you should be able to find it there, or in the drivers foot well channel wiring that may run to the back of the cab, and then up the drivers corner to the roof, or in the front of the A-pillar at the drivers side running to this high mounted stop lamp assembly.

Lol, I'm always good! Thanks Bucko for the reply. Also I just read that the black cover on the frame underneath the driver side has a green wire tucked in the wiring loom behind it and is for brake light function. Can anyone confirm?
