Tailgate popping every time when closed.
Every time I go to close my tailgate it pops loudly. I can see something move on the left side where the tailgate is attached to the truck. I sprayed pb blaster on it and it a little less noisy. Anyone ever experience this. Is there a torsion spring in their?

There is a spring in there. That's why it is so easy to open and close the tailgate. But then you remove it, and realize its pretty damn heavy!
I'm not sure what you can do about fixing the noise though. Maybe pull the panel off the tailgate and see what you can lube up in there.

I brought mine to the dealership and told them what was going on and they adjusted it right then for free. It is either to tight or to loose so it makes a loud bang as your lifting because the spring is twisting.

Mine was doing the same thing after the truck sat for about 6 months as I was in several hospitals recovering from a 28 foot fall off of a ladder at home, but thats a story for another time. I sprayed a good amount of pb blaster in the opening onto the hinge and worked the tailgate up and down until it stopped. Havent heard the popping since.
