i have spent hours seaching all of the forums to now evail. bought a 05 scab just before christmas 140k. rough idle hesitation, cel on code p0303 misfire number 3 cyl. swapped coil from #2 to #3 rest code drove no change cel on same code. replaced #3 plug appeared to be fairly new drove same thing rough idle now 2-codes p0303 and p0172 rt bank to rich. replaced injector drove rough idle gone slight hesitation on take off/ i was feeling very confident then cel returned codes p0303 and p0172. ran seafoam through brake booster hose let set approc 25-30 min as instructed ran 1-1 /2 cans in fuel tank (full tank). i am new to the fords but this sight has helped me so much. i am frustrated as hell with this. just a recap seems to running ok (random slight in park) just cel any suggestions on where to go next. all parts are oem from dealer.

I worked on a Mercedes Benz which was throwing the same type of codes, I did coil swaps, changed the spark plugs and what have you. Sent it to a shop and found out that cylinder had low compression and that was sending the mis-fire code. Get a compression test.
