Sorry I'm late getting back here.
I will take some pictures and post back here as soon as I can.
But basically, I just cut a little notch out of the top section of the light bar.

So did you place the lightbar over the top of the little notch on the bed? Or did you cut a notch into it so the light would lay flat?

I bought extra 3M double sided foam tape and stuck it on to lay flat. Just built it up a bit on either side

They are recon big rig lights. Running/signal and courtesy lol I told the girlfriend they were so people beside me can see when im switchin lanes

The light bar kit I got from Summit Racing had a couple of short pieces of the same width plastic with sticky tape on it. I used this to build up on the sides of the notch to help the light bar lay flatter. When I opened the tailgate, the torsion rod pulled the light bar away from that area and to the right. I was able to trim the top of the light bar where the 90 degree bend is just enough to clear the torsion rod.
