Default Tag on Rear Differential
Does anyone know how to decipher the code on the rear diff tag to learn what differential and gears you have?

You have an fx4 right? If you do then you have a 3.73 with a limited slip
On the door sticker where it says axle code it should say B6

look at the tag, there should be some sumbers like 3 55 or 3z55. The 3z55 would be 3.55 with t-lok. No z=open.

its an "L" not a "Z", but yes this is the correct pattern

it will also say on the tag whether it's an 8.8 or a 9.75 rear as well.
