Default Sway Bar Links BAD!

Hey guys so my sway bar links are bad (or I guess the bushings) and need to replace them. I am having a difficult time choosing between the full Moogs kit or just the Energy Suspension bushings.

I have a 2004 F-150 FX4 4WD

If I got the energy suspension bushings I would like to get new links too, but can't seem to find any links by themselves.

Here is a picture of my stock link and bushings:

The Energy bushings will use the stock links. I would go with the MOOG links.

Energy Suspension makes great stuff but I would skip anything that uses stock links. I too would recommend the Moog units as they are a complete piece, and Moog has great quality parts for steering and suspension.

If you buy the moogs you wont be disappointed. I tried the same thing you are and it didnt satisfy me so i threw some moogs on there and couldnt be happier.

Energy Suspension is a great aftermarket upgrade, but I wouldn't recommend them for this particular application because you are reusing stock parts. The Moog on the other hand replaces the entire part all together.

If you're unsure about the quality of Moog parts, search this forum for my "Ball Joint Replacement" and "Outer Tie Rod Replacement" threads. You will see a side-by-side comparison of the Moog part with a factory Ford part. Also consider that I use my truck to haul an 8,000lb tool trailer anywhere from 40km to a 140km daily, these parts have shown almost no play so far. I've been using Moog parts for years on my Ram 1500 and some of my previous vehicles. You can't go wrong with Energy Suspension either but I would advise against reusing a stock link.

I would get the Moog if it were my truck for the following reasons:

1) Moog is one of the best suspension product makers out there period and it is a whole new assembly.

2) Energy Suspension makes excellent products but you will be reusing parts that I would guess have 80,000+ miles on them already, not on my truck.

Pretty much sums it up.
