Suspension upgrade with 2.5" level??
Hey guys, so my truck has about 90k and rides pretty rough, though I dont have much to compare too since I bought it used. I bought a 2.5" level for the front and 3" rear blocks for the back as recommended by everyone on here.
I am thinking I should replace the struts, springs, and shocks. I dont want to spend a fortune, so what is a good replacement company with the level I am putting on?? I would prefer the setup in the front that includes the springs to make a safer and easier install. Any help would be great as I want to make the purchase this week, as I am purchasing new wheels also. Pretty much looking to replace the front and w/e I need for the rear.
Forgot to add, I have a 2005 Ford F150 lariat Crew 2WD.

I have an 05 STX RWD with 175,000 and had new tires wheels put on along with a 2.5 level kit. I had a shop install and I don't believe they replaced anything else. nothing done to the rear. If you're wanting to replace the shock or springs that's one thing and I can't help you there but if you think you need to replace because of the level, I don't think it's necessary.

Yeah I was thinking I should replace them b/c of the level to be honest. I just see alot of people saying their ride has gotten harsher at 100k on their truck. I dont have anything to reference too so I was just assuming its what we should be doing.

Get moog problem solver parts and replace the whole front end of you wish. It wouldn't be too much of you did it yourself.
Coilovers (I ised Monroe quick struts),Upper and lower bjs, inner and outer tie rods and sway bar links. Did that job last summer and it wasn't bad at all.
Definitely noticed an improvement in the ride as the stock shocks weren't doing much any more at 90k.
At the very least, check the upper bjs for play and maybe replace as preventative maintenance. Your angles are going to be more severe than stock angles and they will getting beat up a bit more.

Any links to where you guys get these parts??? Also since I am lifting the truck with the leveling kit in front, should I be getting the extension for the control arm so the angle is normal???

I bought my truck used 18 months ago w/ 106k on the odom. One of the first things I did was replace front upper control arms and lower ball joints with Moog. I also replaced the front sway bar links on both sides and installed Rancho 9000 Quicklift struts (+2") on the front and shocks on the rear.
This did the trick. It leveled the truck and it dramatically improved the ride. I could not be happier with the results.

Rockauto is a good place to get all the parts you need.
