Default Supercharge 2006 5.4L with 140k miles?

I have a 2006 2wd 5.4L V8. I am the 2nd owner of the truck. It has 140k miles, in good condition, runs great, and I service it regularly. I want to supercharge it with an Edelbrock E Force, but have had friends say it's not a good idea based on the higher miles. I spoke with a mechanic who is into racing and he said higher miles is exactly the right time to supercharge it. Any recommendations out there? What I should address on the engine before supercharging it?

405 horsepower? That's it? Truck is 300-320hp stock?

Whipple's are rated at 525hp at the crank on our trucks.

Was wanting to do this on my 06 with 100k miles on it. I'm currently ordering a rebuild kit for the transmission on it due to a bell housing seal going out. What would you recommend as far as torque converters or rebuild kits on the transmission with that much more power? Also any other engine mods required for this?
