Default Super Duty Mirror Swap

OK, This one my be a little weird.
I really hate the factory side view mirror offerings from Ford on the F-150. And the aftermarket hasn't done anything I would put on my truck either.
Has anyone ever tried to swap the stock mirrors for the F250 Super Duty version? They look like they should fit, but I'm looking for confirmation.

funny you should mention, because i wanted to do a mirror swap with the 08 super duty....i never thought it could be done, though i always saw they had a similar triangular shape on the door....but about 1 month ago i was taking a lil road trip, and i saw my same truck (with the exception of the color and a few minor details) with the 08 super duty mirrors....so i will assume that it is doable having seen that that day...

It won't fit.

And while we're on this subject....how do I get a chrome outside mirror?? I see a bunch of trucks with them and I want chrome outside mirrors.

Sounds like I need to do some more digging. If it can be done, either with a towing package that I don't know about, or other means, I want to make the swap. Us old, former big truck drivers like our mirrors more functional than the stock ones.

get your self some big rig mirrors. Ford makes them as a option if you buy a struped superduty without a bed.
