Super Chip Tuner
Has sombody here used a Superchip Tuner on a late model F150? I Have read about Edge, and alot about "custom Tunes' on this site But the shope in My area all seem to reccomend the Super Chip Tuner. They say a canned tow tune will be just fine with my set up and will not fry my engine. They all seem to have a lot of business and have been around for years.
One shop did not carry any tuners, the were an off road shop and said the had to much trouble with all of them.
Any west coast guys around with sugestions?

the shops who have had "too much trouble with them" most likely have NO programming experience. Get an Xcal2/3 from VMPTuning.com or Troyerperformance.com.
a general parts shop that does none of its own tuning and programming shouldnt really be trusted to receive advise on programmers.

I never had a problem from a superchips programmer. The X-cal is better because it is custom tuned. X2 is not avail anymore new unless someone has them in overstock. Its gone to X3. The superchips programmers I used for customers worked fine and I never saw a problem with them, other than the fact I do not like canned tunes. The X-cal has alot more end user adjustability.
