Default Rear Rail-Mounted DVD Player

Goodmorning everyone, I saw this today and thought I might be able to get some answers. I have a 2004 Lariat Screw, and it has the overhead rail system. This DVD player mounts on the rails, but what is needed to power it? Where does the harness come from and do I need one? Thanks in advance if anyone knows anything on these units.

First, where did you find that thing? I have been trying to find one of those forever!

Second, I think it depends on the model of truck you have - I believe that my Lariat has the plugs in the roof already; if you take your boxes down, you will find a square hole, and (at least in my truck) there are several pigtail electrical connectors which I believe would power that DVD and also connect to the sound system. There are harnesses available as after market, but running it is outside my knowledge...

Thanks guys, but my question is...where are the plugs at? I have two consoles on the rails that I bought and put there. When I took both dome lights out to replace the bulbs, I don't remember there being anything up there for that. Do I have to cut the headliner?

Oh, and I came across this on Craigslist this morning.

Anyone have pictures of theirs or maybe even the wire harness, by chance?

Here is where mine is located. I don't have the DVD player but would like one, just those I have found are too pricey to make it worth it. If you don't like it, I would pay the shipping...

Haha. Well, I will let you know if I end up picking it up. So, yours didn't have the DVD system but it had the hole in the ceiling? I don't have any holes in my headliner...?

Mine has the hole and the connection. I don't know if or how it is connected on the other end though.

I bought this one last week.
I have a 2004 new design with rail system.
Thought i could hook it up easily, turns out i need a harness which is hard to find.
Could not find one yet anywhere, Dealers are not helpful so far too.
It was guaranteed to be in working condition, but i have no way to test it.
I think i am just going to give up. Anybody has more info on this. where to get the harness with 26 pins? step by step installation? hook up to a single cd through aux 16 pin. where to get a 16 pin adapter?
Do you recommend just buying an after market DVD indash and connect to 2 Headrest Monitors?
Thx
MP
