Default Subs sitting on the floor?

Ok a little agitated here! I got my sub box and everything finally installed. But when i slide my hand on the backside of the box with the seats up the plastic surround of the sub is sitting on the floor. So i can only imagine the sub is touching also. This will damage the sub if its movement is limited correct? They still bump and everything but i really have not tried to listen to see if they sound the same as if the box is on its back. The little guard on the ends that should give the sub clearence from the floor, actually sits in a little indention in the floor so then the back of the box sits flat on the floor! Was thinking of maybe pulling the carpet and removing the sound deadening in that area to give me a little more room? here is a picture of them in my living room and then of the ebay listing.

I had the same issue with one 10" in my old 06 super cab. I took a 1-1 1/2" rubber pice and placed it as close to the back/side of the sub, it gave it enough clearance. a pice of wood would probably do as well.

I dont think the grills will do much, probably provide less clearence for the speakers, since they will be pushed up against the floor and bend in slightly. Im going to see how to go about lifting the seat this weekend and add something to lift the rear a tad.

If your using XP there a free photo resizer here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx

If you have vista there is a resizer built in....

That photo kills the thread.
