It must be the stock sub and amp. All they did to mine is take out a few bolt then disconnected it and took it right out. I got a custom box that goes all the way across under the seat. With 2 12 inch 500 watt peak each Kicker subs.

This is what I have under my back seat. Got a new amp and it hits super hard. I listen to everything but mostly Alt Rock (fall out boy. Rise againt, Linkin Park)
But it still has a small bass on. It run it at - but i have the gain up. Seats fold down with no problem. I do have a small piece of wood under so when people seat on the seat it dose not hurt the sub. I know it wont but I am still scared.

^I built one like that for my 04 flareside SCAB, put 2 10s in it and a 12 or 1600 watt amp behind the seat and it has so much bass that with most music I can't even raise the volume above 10 or 12 without it rattling everything. It took about 1 hour to cut the density board and build the box, about $10, then another $10 for the black carpet covering to make it blend in with my interior.
