Default Strange Feedback sound

Heres a wierd one. I noticed it a little here and there over the past couple of months, but now happens more frequently. If you ever hold two microphones close and get that annoying feedback sound, that is pretty much it. At first I though it was radio station, then I thought it was the radio but I turned off a few times and it still does it. Lasts about 2 seconds, seems to do it more now that its cold. It does sound like its coming through the speakers though. Any ideas? Not sure where to start on this one.

sounds like some undercover super spy put a bug in your truck. A lot of things can cause interference in your electronics. Someone else's cb, your cb, others iPod radio tuners. Etc. install any new electronics?

No new electronics. Figure its electronics, its definitely coming through the speakers even when the radio is off and rpms make a difference to. Just weird.

Check the grounding strap to your alternator. If it's fine, unplug the alternator and run the motor BRIEFLY (you don't want to kill the battery). See if it's still there.

I cant try the alternator because it never does it at idle, only when driving. I am gonna check all the grounds I can.

Checked all grounds they all seem good. Did a little more research and seems some guys with F150s had a alternator whine when it started to go. I tested the battery when running and it was at 15v...so a touch high but not crazy high.

Sounds to me like an alternator bearing. Last year mine starting whining when it started getting cold. I had the bearings replaced and it fixed the issue. Our alternators are boogers when it gets cold..
