I need help I noticed a black box on the driver side inner fender under the hood. It's just in front of the coolant reservoir it looks like it would be an area

That's generally where an aftermarket air intake box would sit..... Assuming that's not the case for you? How big is it? Any lines coming from it? Pic?

Could be the day light running light module, could be a tracking device, hid ballast.

Take a pic.

I don't see anything near the coolant reservoir stock.

That's not where my coolant reservoir is on my 2008 5.4...oops my bad...was thinking windshield washer reservoir.

Don't have my truck here but I think I remember there being a small fuse box there.

I found a picture online because I'm at work and can't take a pic. The thing in talking about is on the inner drivers side fender just in front of coolant reservoir , it's just under the black hose. Also my truck doesn't have drl's, but I do have auto lights

It looks like your other fuse box. Check your owners manual.

That box contains relays for Day Time Running Lights and for the 4wd system. My truck came with DRL's and I have since removed the relays to disable it.
