Ethanol is highly corrosive. It's possible it could have destroyed the o ring or made it brittle over time. How long have you owned the truck? Miles you have put on it with E85?

The o ring Is resistant to ethanol I checked at the store and it's the exact sand part for the 07 flex fuel fords

Turns out everything but the special injectors are the same

I'm pretty sure the fuel pump is different. Possibly the filter too?
