Straight Pippers...
How loud is it in the cab if you leave it as a rear exit (i.e. Does not dump under the cab or bed). I unbolted my muffler and started it up and it sounded awesome but it was to much sound in the cab. Is it going to get much better if I have it dump in the stock location?
Trying to spend the 20-30 on welding and a pipe vs 100ish on the Flowmaster.

I cut my muffler out and welded pipe in the void, leaving the factory tail pipe and hangers. It never really gets "loud" unless you put your foot in to it and let it downshift. It's noticeable, but not intrusive. I hear my tires over my exhaust when I'm in O/D on the highway. Letting it downshift for a pass or to merge is another story though.

Ha sorry, can you tell my truck is new to me. I have been a jeep guy the last few years. My first truck was a 93 F150 I6. My parents still have it is in rough shape but the motor is still running strong.
I think I will give it a go this weekend.
